After having fulfilled various functions in (maternity) care, I was very excited at the end of 2014 to start my own maternity care agency. Through experience I knew how I wanted to do things differently, with regard to clients and also with regard to maternity nurses who ultimately have to do the work.
In early 2015, I took the plunge with my husband Paul. With a small group of like-minded people we have put our shoulders to the wheel and in a few years we have experienced a nice growth, whereby we have already allowed many maternity women to experience an unforgettable maternity week.
I am always working on new ideas to further develop our beautiful company, where our Education branch is currently my main focus.
I myself am a mother of a daughter and son, who both also have 2 children, which makes me a very privileged grandmother, and I also have three bonus sons. Our children also contribute to a greater or lesser extent to the success of our company, which also makes it a real family business. We also try to be this family business for our employees.

In 2015 I founded Handle with Care Birth Care with my wife Diana. Diana already had a lot of experience in maternity care at various organizations and increasingly got the idea that it could be done differently and above all better.
Her enthusiasm also warmed me up and we increasingly got the idea that we could make the dream come true: to run a maternity agency according to our idea and norms and values, which would feel like a warm bath for maternity nurses and clients alike.
It soon became apparent that there was more to it than just knowledge of maternity care. In particular, obtaining contracts with health insurers and the required quality certificates ensured the necessary long working days and evenings. With the help of the necessary lovely people, we finally succeeded and we now have a contract with all health insurers.
To limit the financial risks, I kept my permanent job in ICT until 2019 and Diana mainly pulled the cart. Because of the growth we have experienced, I decided at the end of 2018 that it was time to make the switch to Handle with Care in early 2019 and to devote 100% of my attention to our company. In this way I also try to contribute to the unforgettable maternity week you deserve.
